The Advanced Elements
Intro
Light. Color. Composition. Storytelling.
These four advanced elements will take your art to the next level.
Just like with the first four, it will take a lot of time to get a good grasp of them.
I'm not going to tell you exactly how much time to spend on each element or lesson. Spend as much time as you need and don't rush. DO NOT grind all 4 elements in one week. You'll get nowhere. You NEED to space your learning out so that your brain has time to fully take in and understand the information I give you. There will come a point where most of this will become second nature to you but, it will take time.
Supplies Needed for This Course
We're going to keep it pretty simple. You'll need a black pen, a normal pencil, a colored pencil and plenty of paper.
Pens - Preferably a fineliner, medium width.
Pencils - Regular, 2B pencils are great. Mechanical is fine. For your colored pencil, use red.
Paper - Use regular blank copy paper. The cheapest you can find.
Every lesson will have a material list at the top of the page. As you read/listen/watch along there will be parts where I'll want you to draw something on the page in front of you. Depending on your learning style you might want to take notes as well, how you go about it is up to you. The implementation and practice of the concepts and skills I explain to you are what will make you a better artist. If all you do is speed through the lessons and half-ass the practice assignments don't expect to improve. Take your time.
